Grand Canyon was breathtaking and such a great spot for photos. I overpaid for this at a booth in Luxor Hotel at USD185 (expect to pay about USD120 for this) but well lesson learnt. :) Buy from “Tiks4tonight” booths along the Strip!
I went for the Comedy on Deck tour with Robert as my guide. There were less than 30 people onboard and we set off at 6.30am. Sounds like early but I was jetlagged so it was fine. :p
We arrived at a little streetside diner at Boulder City for breakfast. Robert kept saying how good the food was. I ordered a burrito that had egg and ham in it. It was okay, nothing to shout about.
This is my first time in America and I was real intrigued by how all the buildings and houses are all 1 story and take up so much land space! Boulder City was quiet in the early morning and very neat and clean. ^^
The tour with Comedy on Deck was fuss-free and efficient!
If you go to the Grand Canyon West Rim bus tour, forget the USD30 for the Grand Canyon skywalk. Trust me it’s a waste of time. Your second stop at the West Rim (first stop was Eagle Point) where you grab lunch has views that far surpass those you get from the first stop where the skywalk is.
Lunch was pretty good. Bbq chicken with a side of mash and salad.
Here are some great photos a fellow tourist took for me!
Sitting at the edge of the Grand Canyon…
This photo was scary to pose for! I was standing so close the edge!!
On our way back, we also had a quick stop at the Hoover Dam. :)
Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. ^^
I was dropped off back at my hotel at 5ish pm. Made it back in good time for dinner! :)
