I have new nails!!! ^^
And I never thought I could be as passionate (and obsessed) over nails recently!
I mean, just check out instagram and you’ll see like SOOOO MANY lovely nail designs and you just want to try it all!
That’s meeee!! I loved my last nail design by Shanice at Candilicious Nails but this second time around is superrr nice too!
I’ve tried pink, blue and now Tiffany Blue (which looks greenish I know). :) Shanice really knows a lot about nails. I asked her a lot of questions and she was very willing to impart her knowledge!
She told me how soaking off “Gelish Nails” is a delicate process and the manicurist shouldn’t be filing off too much or it will make your nails thinner. When she was removing my previous Gelish, she helped to file a little, just enough to slightly make the gel layer thinner, and then wrapped foils around each nail to soak off everything else.

Is it chio or is it chio? If I really have to choose a favourite nail (and it’s really hard to chose), I would choose my last finger! All that bling and glitter makes it look so feminine and precious!
I had a little cut on my thumb and she advised that I use a file and file off the dead skin gently each day. I always use a nail clipper to cut, and a shaver to shave all the dead skin off the base of my feet and she said that that’s not the right way to do it. Shaving will only make it grow back faster and harder. But filing will evenly remove the dead skin and it’ll also tend to take longer to grow back.
See nothing seems to baffle Shanice! I whatspp her pictures of designs that I want to do on my nails and she’s always okay with it. Sticking lots of bling blings, acrylic art, glitter, ombre, nail art… you name it, she can do it.
She was so good with the white ribbons. The whole session took like 1.5 hours!
This time around, I had a strong inkling for lots of diamonds, a lot of glitter and big fancy bows. She delivered all with a little blue ribboned “package” drawn on my thumb too. It’s TIFFANY! Super <3 it can!!!
And I love how detailed she was with the diamonds. She stuck a variety of big and small diamonds that shined pink and white on each finger to give it more depth and it does look a lot more visually attractive!
