I recently went to Haji Lane to check out The Nail Salon, a lifestyle nail salon that offers manicure, pedicure and foot reflexology services, coffee and desserts, as well as fair trade retail all housed under one roof.
I tried their Signature Manicure and Pedicure treatment and enjoyed it very much. I really enjoyed their luxurious sofa that came with a personal iPad pre-loaded with games and movies (Netflix!!!). As I sat back with a homemade (fresh daily!) iced lemonade in hand, the ladies worked hard on trimming my nails, tidying my cuticles and giving a really good foot scrub!
Selecting my nail colours were hard! I finally decided on yellow for my hands and bright orange for my feet. Yellow for happy days and bright orange because it does make my feet look fairer!
The foot scrub was really good. My therapist was really thorough about it and even used a sponge!

My nails are a little brittle from the frequent gelish nails I always do, so I decided not to top up $20 to make this session into a relish session. I thought I’ll let them nails rest awhile. On hindsight I wished I had made them relish cos OPI nail colours simply don’t last :(
Beyond the pampering session here at The Nail Salon, what I really liked was that every dollar spent here at The Nail Salon goes towards a making a difference to someone else’s life.
The Nail Salon is an advocate of social causes, particularly towards supporting underprivileged women in Singapore. They reach out to single mothers, ex-offenders and women from low-income families, empower them with training and offer full-time employment within the salon.
