Facials should be a once a month affair for most girls. The operative word here is “should”. Sometimes I skip facials because of my busy schedule and end up going for facials once every 3-4 months? That is quite embarrassing.
One of the biggest skin problems I face is dull skin. It sometimes feels like dead skin just refuses to come off and the dirt are just happy to stay on my face.
This is an advertorial for Porcelain Face Spa. In the next 6 months, I will go through a series of treatment facials that will help to improve my complexion to a condition where I don’t feel like I need base makeup!
As I start on their facial treatments, I am asked to slowly reduce the amount of base makeup I put (i.e.: bb cream, concealer, loose powder, pressed powder, shimmer, primer, blusher, and the list goes on). Other than eye and lip makeup, I was asked to free my face from base makeup and let my skin be clog-free.
It was a high order of request. I had to do this slowly. Going base-free immediately was almost too big a change for me! :/
I have always heard of Porcelain but haven’t had the chance to try them out, I was pretty excited for this first appointment. Besides, check out the numerous raves and reviews they’ve gotten from magazines on their Facebook Page.

My first facial treatment is the OXYREVIVE – helps to hydrates the skin, pumps it up with oxygen and promotes instant brightening and revitalization.
The Oxy Revive is a 2-step treatment that involves a jet spray to remove dead cells and impurities as well as a spray of pure oxygen into the skin to sooth and anti-oxidize the skin.
This facial may seem like a simple one but it has so much science to it. Read in details here.
I arrived at their comfortable outlet at Cantonment Road (opposite the Police Station). It was very homely. The lady who greeted me served me water and I was asked to fill up a form while getting my feet soaked. It was all very comfortable. None of those hard selling sales staff we’ve all come to dread. You know how that absolutely kills a facial experience before it even starts.
I was then led into the therapy room where they had the full works of aromatherapy oil & calming soft music in the background. As a start, they used the OxyJet Gentle Micro-Dermabrasion Therapy to cleanse my skin, remove dead cells and brighten skin tone. It is essentially like having micro water droplets (Sodium Chloride) blowing onto your face, allowing better penetration and absorption of nutrients. I got immediate results! Check out my one side before and after.

See the difference in the size of pores and one’s visibly clogged up while the other is all cleaned? MAGIC!
This was followed by the OxySpray Mist Therapy and a range of custom blended serums and mask. The ingredients were all customized for my skin to increase nutrient absorption and hydration. The OxySpray was like having light rain on my face. It was absolute enjoyment.
I really enjoyed this facial. I walked out of Porcelain Face Spa with my face feeling 1) instantly brightened, 2) clean, 3) pores are all minimised and 4) fairer, smoother skin!
Most importantly, my skin felt like the previous layer of dirt that I had on was all gone. Yeh, my skin felt that bad before the facial. :( You can read up on other people’s reviews on Porcelain Face Spa on Cozycot too.
