The other day when I was feeling really tired and stressed out, I decided to head on to My Cozy Room for a special Rainforest Spa Massage.
To be honest, massage places can call the massage whatever they want because I never once expected the massage experience to be anything in line with the name except maybe the ingredient, the style of massage, and the duration.
At My Cozy Room, I was in for such a luxuriously pampering surprise.
THINK RAINFOREST.
I would imagine the above scene. The greenery, the lovely scents and the sprinkle of water.
And the 75 mins Rainforest Spa Massage I had with My Cozy Room was exactly that. Right down to the scents of the oils they used, and the way the lovely Samba Back Scrub which is really quite unique.
When companies make it a point to make a service this holistic and this experience-oriented, you know you’ve found a gem.
Let’s do a run throughout of the 75 min spa.
1) Samba Back Scrub
Using Brazil Sponges (think Rainforest in Brazil!) in combination with gently fragrant, soft, warm algae foam, the sponges remove dead superficial cells from the skin & leave the skin looking incomparable fresh & smooth.
The sponge massage is extremely pleasant. None of that sandy scrubs which are typical of a usual Back Scrub. It was really soothing.
2) Lava Hotstone Back Massage
This experiential massage reflects the mix of the warm sensation with Lava Hotstones to release tired muscles & stiff knots. This comes with the cool tropical spray which makes it feels like a refreshing Brazilian rain shower.
You know what the masseur did? She had this special spray device which helped to sprinkle little drops of water onto my back. While lying down I was pondering about this unique move but owner, Celine, later on explained that it was to recreate the rainforest water droplets in a small way.
3) Glacier Crystal Eye Massage
An ultra-indulging eye massage with Glacier Crystals, a clear quartz that helps to increase blood circulation around the eye area to reduce dark eye circles & get rid of your puffy eye bags & sinks you into a state of ultimate relaxation.
The Crystals she used are special Glacier Crystals which Celine showed me after the massage. It’s a very special crystal which turns cold the moment you put it into water!! No need to freeze it at all. Imagine the coolness of this crystal against your tired eyes. It is bliss!
