Love in Space is a movie that follows a mom and 3 sisters on their pursuit for sucesss in 3 different places but find themselves unexpectedly in love. The movie brings us to 3 different places where the leading characters meet and fall in love: Beijing, Sydney and even in Space.
Love In Space is the second sequel to 2010 hit ‘Hot Summer Days,’ co-directed once again by Wing Shya and Tony Chan. More noticeable members of the cast is made up of Aaron Kwok, Eason Chan, Angelababy and Rene Liu.
One sister residing in Sydney struggles to hold down a steady job but due to her OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder), she finds herself out of job most of the time. One day, she meets a garbage man and things gets interesting as the movie unfolds to show she and handsome Eason Chan sorts their romantic complication out.
Another sister played by Angelababy is a struggling actress trying to improve her acting skills after getting the “worst actress” award at the recent award ceremony. She starts to temp for 2 weeks at this local cafe to get into her new role and finds her heart strings being pulled by a struggling writer who’s also a poet. :P
And then there’s another sister who’s an astronaut who’s on a outerspace mission and is stuck with ex-bf played by Aaron Kwok. There is much laughter to the way these two live their lives and find their way in the delicate relationship they share.
Personally I prefer movies which focuses on only a few characters and giving these characters more time and space to develop their character. But for a light-hearted evening of humour, Love in Space is something you can consider watching. Now showing in Cinemas in Singapore.
