It is with great pressure *PLEASURE* that I initiate this virgin post. You see, I am not too much of a writer/blogger/fortune-teller/boxer/inventor/astronaut….. :)

As with most first times, it is usually a mixture of pleasure and pain. And my first post will be something like that, some pain and some pleasures. Simply put, I am going to list down what I feel about financial crisis and its impact on the environment around me!

Effects of the financial crisis:

1. Due to the financial crisis, the world will be a less polluted place. Why? Because people will find it more affordable to take public transport than to drive a car. Cheers to less carbon monoxide and more squeezing in buses and trains! (Beware the dreaded BO!)

2. Due to the financial crisis, the world is a more cheerful place. Well, I definitely notice less insurance agents calling my number or pestering me at MRT stations. Nowadays, its quite a smooth walk from the control station to the exit. No more of “Sir, are you covered for Critical illness, Total and Permanent Disabilities and Accidental Death?”, while on my way to buying 4D or on the way to airport to board a plane!

3. Due to the financial crisis, the world is a more social place. I used to catch English League soccer matches at home alone, subscribing to SCV. Ever since they increased prices and with this crisis, I have been going to coffeeshops. I suddenly found more camaraderie with all my neighbours, huddled together and screaming KELONG over a cup of Ice Kopi. (Tiger too expensive!)

4. Due to the financial crisis, the world is a more sober place. As above, Tiger Beer too expensive. A few of my friends also drink less alcohol nowadays. It’s not a bad thing yah?

5. Due to the financial crisis, the world is a more healthy place. Hmm, I have started to eat less lavish meals and eat simpler home-cooked food. As a result, I have gone down to 73kg from a previously earth-shaking 79kg. Hooray!

With so many good reasons, shouldn’t the financial crisis last forever? NOT!

Have a nice day!

I was just quickly browsing thru and the part that really caught my eye was where you said you weigh 73 kg! And your pic definitely don’t look like 73kg!

Only upon closer inspection that i noticed it was duckie intervention hahah.

    Good post man! LOL
