It’s been one awesome 2 weeks of intensive planning for my “A Girly Affair ~ Mary Chia” event. The day came and I went down to Shunji Matsuo at 313 Somerset to get my hair styled prior to the event! :)
I made a last min appointment to do this the night before and thank goodness they managed to squeeze me in for the earliest timeslot at 10.30am with Caely! :D
Caely is my usual stylist at Shunji Matsuo. I like the risks she takes with my hair. Risks that I never dared try, and these risks have been turning out pretty well! Check out the bangs she cut for me!
So I sat down and Caely asked if there’s any style I prefer, I told her that I would prefer my hair to be down. She suggested braids and hair extensions.
I said YES to braids immediately and loved that she suggested hair extensions cos I’ve never had hair extensions before! Check out the selection she gave me to choose from!
She suggested I use pink (to match my outfit) and white. The timid me was trying to avoid bright colours cos of my day job… but eventually I decided to just take the risk and go for pink and white! You’ll see how it turns out at the end of this post! :D
So she got down to work and started with some hair spray over the top of my head and then started braiding. After that, she started on the hair extensions on one side of my head.
And… here’s the final outcome which I LOVE SO MUCH!!!
