Have you ever been to a make up class? I have attended several blogger events where sometimes they share makeup tips and techniques. Thanks to Youtube and the many makeup enthusiasts out there, there are also plenty of “How-to” videos out there to learn from.
These videos range from the basic to the dramatic and the outrageous. But really, after watching so many, it brings me back to 1 question.
JUST WHAT IS SUITABLE FOR ME?
Everyone has a unique (more or less) face shape, colour, and features that you want to highlight or downplay.
I suppose that is what makes the job of a makeup artist ever challenging since no two person is exactly the same.
Anyway, I recently came across this professional make-up academy by My Fat Pocket called Blush2Brushes, offers a series of workshops for modern, stylish women who wish to look their best for every occasion (read: me!!).
Led by make-up extraordinaire Jackie Sitoh and Aileen Lee, they impart smart make-up tips and skills to the urbanites.
Anyway, if I could design a makeup class, I would call it “Tips the makeup experts won’t tell”.
Haha! I would of course include the little know hows that only the experienced makeup artists would know. Like, how to shape your chin, how to make your eyes look bigger, how to conceal effectively, how to define your nose/make it look smaller, what makeup will make your skin glow, etc etc.
I’d have the makeup artists use and recommend products that are not overly pricey and these products should be readily available to the typical Singaporean woman.
