I remember that day when I took the pregnancy test kit at home and it came back positive. I am pregnant.
I was really kinda dreading it. I missed my period, peeing a lot and had slight nausea. The husband really kinda forced me to take the test. He said “I’m quite sure you’re pregnant” but I don’t think he was mentally prepared for it all either then.
And then, the kicker. All it took was one test and the two red lines appeared.
I AM PREGNANT.
We were pregnant. Oh gosh. How scary. I sat on the sofa and cried awhile. I wasn’t sure what to feel… Was this all happening at the best possible time? What should we do next?
I texted my best friend who’s always calm… She told me these kits are usually very accurate. Most accurate in the mornings but if you get a double red line even at night, you are pregnant. For sure.
I had absolutely no idea what to do. What kind of doctor to see etc.
Thank goodness my best friend was there to give me advice and we knew we had to get ourselves a gynae for a scan and checkup.
This is a new stage of my life that I am embarking on and I hope to share this with all my readers.
Onward to parenthood I guess!! :)
I’m getting quite emotional reading about your pregnancy journey. :3
I’m so excited and happy for you and Peter. <3
